Meet the Wood Duck I photographed twice in mid-April at Frances Short Pond in Flagstaff. Amazingly beautiful, isn’t he? Where is his mate?

I saw him twice—around 4/19 and 4/21, both times alone and under the same tree at Frances Short Pond.
