Sunrise Over Bosque del Apache 1
This photograph was taken well before dawn on a frigid morning at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, southern New Mexico. Shortly after I shot this, I took many more as geese and cranes flew overhead, circling and then landing.

Snow Geese Over Wetland Roost (near Bosque)
Just north of Bosque del Apache I joined a dozen or so photographers at Wetland Roost (near San Antonio New Mexico), in time to catch huge numbers of Snow Geese overhead, leaving for points north (corn fields?)
