I’ve pasted a photo of a hummingbird perched on a pine branch in our (Cheshire) neighborhood in Flagstaff, AZ. How can one NOT love hummingbirds!

I’m including a link here to a photo of another female broad-tailed hummingbird in what is probably an even more typical hummer habitat— a field of free-ranging if not “wild” flowers (namely, sunflowers, in a field near Highway 180 in Flagstaff). In this photo she’s perched on a sunflower stem.
One last word— tomorrow my wife Sarah and I will go on the “garden tour” that is part of the (approximately 5th annual) Sedona Hummingbird Festival. It’s likely that I’ll return with a ton of photos. Until then!
