I shot it on August 1, 2023, less than an hour before sunset, looking north toward the San Francisco Peaks from AZ State Highway 180 in Flagstaff. The trees in the mid-ground of the photograph are Ponderosa Pines.
The red leaves in the foreground are “curly dock,” I believe.
